It seems like most Americans would prefer a smaller government or at the very least a government that wastes less money. But what would that government look like? What stays and what goes? Below is a list of core government responsibilities. There is a lot of government cut from this list with the assumption a free market would address it. But what you think? Is something missing? 1. Identify citizens, immigrants, visitors, and refugees
2. Defend lives and constitutional freedoms
2.1. Defend U.S. land

What about the US Olympic teams? They are currently a non-profit and do not receive any government money. I think that the Olympics are a time for the world to come together in sports regardless of what is going on in the world. And plainly, I think the US needs to reassert itself as the world leader in athletics. I think it is important and not too expensive.
